To the people behind Gawad Metronian Educational Foundation, Inc.
It has almost been a year since I graduated from my four-year course in college which would not have been possible if not for the generous sponsorship granted by the Gawad Metronian Educational Foundation, Inc. I still thank God every day for giving me this huge opportunity of achieving quality education…
I welcomed 2017 with my first job as a Sales and Marketing Assistant in KAMOGAWA Laguna Phils. Inc., a Japanese Trading Company. I chose the job because it was near home and I guess any experience is as good as any since I’m still figuring out what I want my career to head into. The job has allowed me to learn a lot of technical skills which I think helped me grow as a professional. I have also learned quite a bit about Marketing, an option which I’m really interested in. The salary, although barely compensates the needs of a family of three, is acceptable given that I’m just learning my way through the professional environment. I think more than the money earned, it’s the experience that would allow me to land a better job should I venture for a new one.
I do plan to become a civil servant once I passed the exam because I feel that as a scholar it is imperative for me to serve the people. Although I think I will stay in my current job for at least a year to gain more perspective. I also want to try my luck in landing a job abroad but that is when I have saved up enough and secured a caretaker for my grandparents.
I do hope that my plans will come to fruition just as my plan to graduate in college did five years ago. With a lot of perseverance, I believe it will.
I cannot thank you enough for helping me get to where I am today. I pray that you can help more people like me achieve success by providing an education. Thank you very much for taking the time to hear my story.
