GMEFI Board members and staff will again join the Autism Society Philippines [ASP] Walk for Autism as decided during the first 2017 GMEFI general meeting held last January 12. ASP Secretary and one of its founding members, Cecile Sicam sent us an invitation to the event. Under GMEFI’s Community Educational Fund Assistance program, ASP’s project, “Educational Assessment and Formulation of Individualized Programs of Indigent Children with Special Needs” was awarded the P30K assistance. ASP was GMEFI’s first recipient. The call for the 2017 proposals is now on. Below is the abridged edition of the 2015 Walk for Autism coverage prepared for Autism Society by Mirana Medina, an ASP Volunteer, GMEFI Board Member and Head of its Community Educational Fund Assistance Program.
The ASP’s Autism-OK Philippines campaign serves as a springboard for public awareness, private sector involvement and inclusion of the autism agenda in government social development initiatives.
Join the “Angels Walk for Autism 2017” and uplift and make time for people with autism.
